It can make me sad. And I realized it’s the initially time in my functioning everyday living that I wasn’t equipped to run a race owing to harm!!
So on just one hand I’m grateful that I have been so healthy and lucky up till this issue. But I’m tremendous bummed that I couldn’t operate the Extensive Seashore Marathon with my friend. And I’m unhappy I was not total of endorphins and pizza looking at so quite a few runners update Instagram with their Chicago Marathon complete periods! It was pretty fascinating and I’m delighted for anyone who experienced a good race! It created me want to be out there with them!
It is okay to be unhappy and I’m honoring my thoughts while attempting to remain constructive and focus on the silver linings.
I’m joyful that I did not consider to press it and run a race injured. I’m glad I didn’t attempt to run right after I hurt my foot!! (Turns out it was even worse than a strain fracture – it is a full fracture. Which I even now don’t know how they skipped on the x-ray.)

I considered heading to the race to spectate, but decided that would not be a great notion. It’d be a large amount of going for walks and time on my ft. And I never have the shoe lift to even out the top for my other shoe. (That is also requested and on the way.)
So I’m nonetheless on damaged foot duty and have a ton to do in the way of healing and restoration. Doctor’s appointments and research into equipment, gyms, greatest tactics, and many others.. has taken a good deal of time as well!
